Q1 Report 2023

Al Kauser has disbursed $247k and receive donations only $180k. We are currently facing a deficit of $67k in Q1 2023. We are running into deficit because of the continuing crisis in Pakistan. As we are dealing with Flood situation, we saw huge spike in our scholarship applications due to economic crisis in Pakistan. We really need donors to help us as much as possible to meet our community needs in these challenging times. We have launched a $110 per month initiative to meet the needs of our current students and also expand our scholarship program. Our goal is to have 200 donors pledge to donate $110 per month so, we will have our current Education budget needs meet from these monthly donations. This will give us enough room to meet the needs of new applications we are receiving.

On the admin side, Due to our continuous efforts on saving admin costs, this quarter we have managed to reduce our admin cost to mere 1%. Remember all of our board members are volunteers. And this quarter we have volunteers doing accounting and running social media. Also, this quarter only 17% of our donations comes from PayPal that saves us on PayPal fees.
